In addition to implementing the previously mentioned changes, I also added in a few other barely noticeable details, made some barely noticeable fixes to the topology (for cleaner sub-division,) adjusted the color scheme a bit, improved the quality of the gloss/specular material effects, and I finally added in “true” reflections (since I’ve finally found an optimal way to do them without having to leave out the gloss and reflection effects I’d previously been using.)
Obviously, this gave me an excuse to re-do the two Metal Sonic renders I’ve made this year (while also conveniently giving me something to post on the day of the Sonic 25th Anniversary Party.) Since I made some changes to Metal Sonic’s model in Metal Sonic Lost World last month (the eyes, head, and fingers,) I’ve now implemented those changes into my high-poly render model.
